About the Role
We are seeking experienced Transport Router Integration Engineers with strong Nokia router experience for field-based deployment across Florida. The role focuses on the commissioning, configuration, and integration of Nokia transport routers supporting live telecom network builds and migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- On-site commissioning and integration of Nokia Cell Site Routers — 7250 IXR-e, 7705 SAR, and 7750 SR platforms.
- Router CLI configuration, software upgrades, and rollback procedures.
- Backhaul circuit testing, validation, and traffic migration.
- Hub and spoke topology configuration and dark fibre mapping.
- CPRI/eCPRI fronthaul configuration and validation.
- IP/MPLS, VLAN, BGP, and OSPF configuration and troubleshooting on Nokia platforms.
- Cutover planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
- Coordination with NOC, transport, and RAN teams during live network changes.
- Completing MOPs, as-builts, and site close-out documentation.
- Troubleshooting transport alarms, fibre degradation, and backhaul connectivity issues.
- Supporting CRAN/DRAN hub site builds and spoke site configurations.
- Executing script generation and deployment using tools such as Pronghorn, NSP, or equivalent.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of Nokia transport router field integration experience.
- Hands-on experience commissioning Nokia 7250 IXR-e, 7705 SAR, or 7750 SR routers — essential.
- Strong CLI skills with TiMOS/SR OS command line proficiency.
- Knowledge of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS protocols.
- Understanding of dark fibre, fronthaul, and backhaul concepts including CPRI/eCPRI.
- VPLS and carrier aggregation experience preferred.
- Experience performing cutovers and traffic migration on live networks.
- Fibre optic testing and troubleshooting experience (OTDR, SFPs).
- Experience working on Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile networks preferred.
- Ability to read and execute detailed MOPs independently.
- OSHA 10/30 certified.
- CCNA/CCNP or Nokia NRS I/II certification preferred.
- Valid driving licence — travel across Florida required.
