About the Role:

Techner is seeking experienced Field Integration Engineers with strong Verizon Nokia integration experience to support end-to-end integration, commissioning, and testing of Nokia small cell sites across LTE and 5G networks in the U.S. This role is field-focused and require engineers with recent Nokia experience who can perform onsite integration, call testing, and troubleshooting in live network environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Integrate and commission Nokia small cells (AirScale, FlexiZone) using NetAct or related OSS tools.
  2. Configure key parameters such as IP, neighbour lists, and E911 routing, and perform call and data verification.
  3. Conduct functional and service testing (voice, data, handovers, VoLTE, 911 calls).
  4. Coordinate with field engineers, remote integration centres, and carrier teams for smooth site turn-up.
  5. Troubleshoot alarms, transport issues, and site connectivity problems.
  6. Prepare and submit integration reports, test logs, and site completion documents.
  7. Ensure compliance with U.S. safety, quality, and regulatory standards (OSHA, RF awareness).

Requirements:

  1. 3–6 years of experience in telecom integration or commissioning with Nokia equipment for Verizon networks.
  2. Strong understanding of LTE/5G, IP transport, and E911 call flow verification.
  3. Hands-on experience with Nokia NetAct and OSS integration tools.
  4. Ability to read and implement configuration scripts and perform remote troubleshooting.
  5. Valid U.S. driver’s licence and willingness to travel and work in field environments.
  6. Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
  7. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Education & Certifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
  2. Nokia OEM certification or equivalent is an advantage.
  3. OSHA and RF safety certifications are required.
